Sneha Jeeva Kendra
My family has had a close association with some Catholic charities in India for many years. I was even privileged to meet Mother Teresa when she visited Chicago to dedicate a women's shelter on the West Side. This organization was founded by one of Mother's nuns, Sr. Paulette. Sr, Paulette has worked in the slums of Mumbai, Sahar Village, Vasai and in Villankani, one of the cities hit by the deadly tsunami. Her order of nuns has built and run orphanages, schools, women's shelters and HIV centers. We were tasked to do fundraising here in the States through US Indian organizations.
